I am a cultural Jew because I am an atheist. I cannot celebrate the Jewish New Year because of the continuing horror in Gaza, and now in Lebanon.
A genocide is being perpetrated by Netanyahu and his government which is destroying Jewish humanist traditions. Netanyahu, Ben-Gevir, Smotrich and other Kahanites have hijacked the Jewish masses utilising fascist propaganda tropes to approve and carry out their murderous ethno-centric fantasies.
How can we, the Jewish people, celebrate the coming New Year when these psychopaths ruling Israel are laying the foundations for more hate, more death, more mayhem?
We must shout from the rooftops and make people aware that Netanyahu and his fellow psychopaths have nothing to do with Jewish humanist traditions.
