Lies, damned lies, and IDF investigations

The world should look forensically into the motives of the release of the IDF ‘report’ into its investigations. It is glaringly, stupefyingly obvious to Blind Freddy that there is not a shred of decency, of regret, of acceptance of the horrific nature of the genocide it has wreaked on Palestinians – and others in neighboring states.

The HRF comment that the purpose of the IDF report ‘is not to deliver accountability’ is palpably obvious. In the IDF Report published in the Jerusalem Post every reference to an incident used the phrase: ‘mistakenly killed’.
The enormity of the exculpation so attempted is almost beyond comprehension. It is – and must be treated by the world, and particularly by the ICC, as so twisted from the truth as to be a crime in itself.
The intent – to deflect criticism of and shore up support for Israel’s actions – if not challenged and repudiated, is monstrous. Any country – and Australia is one with much shame to confront- that accepts this attempt to exonerate genocide – is a fellow-traveller on a caravan rolling down road to humanitarian hell.
